The Attic
We know that good storage space is important in many homes
today. The attic provides an excellent, dry area with high
rafters (so most people don't have to duck) for plenty of room
for storage. We built in over 60 feet of shelving to
accommodate most standard-sized storage bins. There's a
convenient light switch in the den below which lights a bright
overhead light suitable for nearly the whole attic. We had
the central air unit positioned off to the side to allow for
optimal and unobstructed storage and even had some of the
flexible vent lines re-routed through the rafters. There's
actually extra pieces of plywood up there if you want to add
more shelving.
