The Intercom and Music System
One of the top three features of our new home is the Intercom
system. This is a high-quality, extremely convenient
component of this home. Here are some of the benefits:
- No need to yell up and down stairs to tell someone
there's a phone call
- Enjoy your favorite music throughout the home, or listen
to AM/FM radio
- Monitor just about any room in the house from anywhere
else in the house, even on the deck outside (we constantly
monitor the baby room)
- Always know which of three doorbells is ringing by the
number of unique chimes
- Answer the door via the Intercom when you're anywhere in
the house
- Create an elegant party atmosphere by playing background
music in the first-floor Powder Room, Dining, Living, and
family Rooms
These are some of the great things about it. Now for
more details on the system itself:
- The system is made by M&S Music System, and
we selected it after reviewing 5 to 10 competing models on
the market
- It has 10 Intercom stations, 4 ceiling speakers with
volume control knobs, a master intercom station, and 3
doorbell stations all working in harmony
- There's a separate audio feed from the stereo system in
the family room (allows you to set up a multi-CD player for
hours worth of music
- You control from the Master Station which rooms are on
or off, and every station has control over volume
