 The
Sun Room, or Porch, is off of the Breakfast area through the
sliding glass door. It provides a peaceful retreat, full of bright sunlight through the windows
and doors on all sides. It also leads to the deck and provides
convenient catering space when entertaining outdoors.
The Sunroom is complete
insulated, including the floor, but does not have its own
heating unit.
For
this reason it does not count toward “actual living space area”
and is
 considered a “three season porch.” However, you can keep
the sliding glass door open and within a short time you can have
it the same temperature as the rest of the house, even during
extreme hot or cold weather. You get the benefit of the living
space but it is taxed at a lower rate because there’s no heating
vent in the room.
